Who we are
This website, gapforgood.org, is operated by Angus Norriss, founder of Gap for Good (“we”, “us”). Gap for Good is a UK social enterprise: a business that trades to fund a social mission, applying its surpluses to that mission rather than distributing them as private profit. Our mission is the one described on this site — placing school leavers as volunteer Fellows at Dr Graham’s Homes, Kalimpong, and directing surpluses to the benefit of the school. A mission-locked company — expected to be a community interest company (CIC) — is being established to operate the programme. Once registered, its full name, company number, registered office and place of registration will be shown here, as UK company law requires. Gap for Good is not a registered charity. You may browse, download and print from this site for personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t copy the site’s content for commercial purposes, misrepresent your association with Gap for Good, or attempt to interfere with the site or its application form.
Programme information
The programme described on this site is in development ahead of its first placements. Details — including dates, the programme contribution, what it covers, and safeguarding and support arrangements — are indicative and may be refined as the first placements are arranged; anything binding is set out in the written programme agreement. Nothing on this site is an offer of a place.
Applications
Submitting an application or registering interest through this site creates no obligation on either side. Selection follows the process described on this site, and no contract for a placement exists until we and the applicant (and, for applicants under 18, a parent or guardian) sign a written programme agreement. Full programme terms — covering payment, cancellation, refunds, conduct and welfare — will be published and provided before any application is accepted.
Intellectual property
The Gap for Good name, logo and the content of this site belong to us unless stated otherwise. The name, history and photography of Dr Graham’s Homes are used in association with the school and its UK charity, Dr Graham’s Homes Kalimpong (UK) (Scottish charity SC050985), and remain theirs.
Third-party links and services
This site links to external sites — including drgrahamshomes.org.uk and Google Maps — and uses FormSubmit to deliver application forms to our email. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services; our Privacy Policy explains how form data is handled.
Liability
We take care to keep this site accurate, but it is provided “as is”: we make no promise that it is error-free and, to the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on its content or from temporary unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
