Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this site is Angus Norriss, trading as Gap for Good — a UK social enterprise being established as a mission-locked company — contactable at hello@gapforgood.org. When that company (expected to be a community interest company) is registered, it will take over this role and this policy will be updated.
What we collect, and why
- Application form. When you use the form on this site we receive your name, email address, school or college, your message, and — if you attach one — your CV. We use this to consider your application or enquiry and to reply. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering an agreement, and our legitimate interest in running the programme.
- Email. If you write to hello@gapforgood.org we hold your correspondence for the same purposes.
That is all this site collects. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and shows no advertising. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics — this policy will be updated first, with any consent the law requires.
Applicants under 18
Applicants may be 17 when they first contact us. We keep what we ask for to a minimum, encourage younger applicants to involve a parent or guardian from the start, and welcome contact from parents at any stage.
Who processes and sees your data
The application form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which relays your submission — including any CV — to our email and is a data processor for that purpose; its own privacy policy applies to that relay. Your data is otherwise seen only by those running Gap for Good. If your application progresses, relevant details are shared with Dr Graham’s Homes to shape a placement — we will tell you before that happens. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and unsuccessful applications are kept no longer than 12 months, then deleted; successful applicants’ information is kept for the life of their involvement with the programme and as legally required afterwards.
International transfers
Email and form delivery may involve processing outside the UK. Where personal data leaves the UK we rely on safeguards recognised by UK law, such as adequacy or standard contractual protections, so far as they apply to the services we use.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email hello@gapforgood.org and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this policy as the programme develops — including when the operating company is formed, if we appoint new processors, or if the site starts using cookies or analytics. The current version, with its date, is always the one published here.
